Rea Vipingo reported their 2007 Full Year financial results, reflecting a 2.42% rise in 2007 profit after taxation to KES115 million compared to profit after taxation in 2006 of KES112 million. In 2007, group turnover rose by 4.38% (FY2006-KES1.1 billion; FY2007-KES1.2 billion). Profit before taxation increased by 6.63% (FY2006-KES157 million; FY2007-KES167 million). Profit arising from operating activities increased by 66% while profit arising from changes in fair value of biological assets dropped by 82%.

Dividend
The directors will recommend to the members at the forthcoming Annual General Meeting, the payment of a first and final dividend of KES 0.80 per share amounting to KES 48 million for the financial year ended 30th September 2007(2006: KES 48 million).

Closure of Register and Date of Payment
The dividend will be paid, less withholding tax where applicable, on or around 3rd June 2008 to members on the register at the close of business on 14th March 2008. The Share register will be closed from 15th March 2008 to 20th March 2008, both dates inclusive.

Annual General Meeting
The 13th Annual General Meeting of the company will be held at the Holiday Inn, Nairobi on Friday 14th March 2008 at 10.00 am
